It's been technomumbojumbo around here for the last two weeks. Once again, Microsoft is being sued. This time by Eolas. Some time soon it will change the way the <"object">, <"embed"> and <"applet"> tags will be viewed on the page. Thus, several technical changes were made to the index page as follows: make the music play in sync with the movie, play the movie with the music in all types of browsers, and prepare for the Internet Explorer changes. Yet to be changed is the applet on page 4 of the Fest 2002 section. Temporarily, this is down until I figure out the work around for the applet.
The 411 on the Internet Explorer changes and the Eolas lawsuit are here and the Macromedia work around is here.
Security was also increased and a spell has been placed on the server by none other then Nicholas Blair (dreamy). No one can view the directory listings and accidently "borrow" anything. Thank you Nicholas Blair and Dreamhost.com for the Apache server and the spell, .htaccess. To learn more about .htaccess click here.
