My journey is beginning.

Memories of Dark Shadows past.

It’s my feelings that I mostly remember:  that rush of running home after school, that pump of adrenaline.  My love of Barnabas and Julia.  I remember these things more then the show’s details.  I would feel excited everyday as they braved one more time travel obstacle to once again be reunited with the present.  These feelings always stayed in my unconscious and were locked away in the mausoleum of my memories until...

A journey that I hope will open the doors of life to me, and link my past with my future. 

The coffin of memories is opened.

My first ankle surgery was in 2000.  Because I was so incredibly bored while laid up in a cast, I started to watch Buffy and Angel.  As I watched and became hooked, the more I missed the old days of Dark Shadows and those old rush of feelings.  Nostalgia was overwhelming me, but I didn't know about Internet communities or that there was so much continued interest in Dark Shadows.

Around the time my step-son was going away to college in 2001, he showed me how to IM with him on AIM because he hates to talk on the telephone.  Like many children going away for their first time, he was doing his own thing and ignoring me.  I started figuring out this chat thing on my own and surfing around the Internet, mostly for gaming sites.  (Yes, my step-son taught me that too.)  Then one day, I decided to search on those fateful words, DARK SHADOWS.

The chains were broken open, and the monster unleashed.
