John Wells Nominated for Humanitas Award
Reuters reports that John Wells has been nominated for a finalized berth in the 60 minute TV writing category for the "Makemba" episode of ER. The winners are announced on July 8 during a luncheon ceremony at the Universal Hilton. Makes you wonder and go hmmm as to why the new DS was not picked up. At least, good news is Jordan Levin stepped down. Thank goodness for big favors.
In an unprecedented Dark Shadows moment, it has meet gaming in a first degree of separation. A very popular first person shooter, Doom, sold it rights to Universal Pictures to be made into a movie by Lorenzo di Bonaventura and JOHN WELLS. The pic is to be directed by Edna McCallion with a script being written by Dave Callaham.
The game is set to release on July 15. It takes place on a Mars space station. When something goes awry, a terrible demonic force is unleashed, laying waste to the station and releasing untold horribles. Hmmm sounds familiar.
Perhaps, Julia just forgot to turn off her lab and they all hopped on board.
Doom is published by Activision and was developed by id Software. A trailer for the game can be found here.
Currently, Constellation is being filmed in Huntsville, Alabama according to Alabama News. Constellation is about an African-American family in the deep south coming to terms with a inter-racial affair in its past. Billy Dee Williams (hot) is the main star and Alec stars as Kent (on fire). (Well, actually they are both on fire.)
