News Does Occur While One is Away on Holiday
Some news occurred last past month during the holiday crazies and while I was away on vacation:
Jonathan Frid is 80! The Dark Shadows icon, Barnabas Collins, turned 80 on December 2, 2004. Collinwood.Net has a free downloadable desktop wallpaper memorializing the occasion for your personal use.
Marley Shelton's WB Pilot The Futon Critic reports that Marley Shelton is set to try another pilot for the WB with writer/producer Bruce Helford ("The Drew Carey Show"). The comedy is about a 25 year old woman determined to achieve a life of luxury she sees in the media.
Shelton is also going to be The Customer in Sin City which is set for release in April 2005.
Joan Bennett Joan Bennett's acting family is chronicled in the new book by writer Brian Kellow titled "The Bennetts: An Acting Family."
Mark Verheiden The Dark Shadows 2004 pilot writer is returning to his comic book roots and taking over as writer for the Superman comic books for DC Comics. The full story is at Newsarama.
Rob Bowman (1991 Revival Director) Rob Bowman's new film, Elektra with Jennifer Garner is coming to Theatres on January 15, 2005. The trailer may be viewed at Moviefone.
Zap2it announces that Bruce Greenwood and Madeleine Stowe are going to star in a Dan Curtis directed TV Movie for CBS. It's going to be based on Morton Kondracke's best selling book, "Saving Milly" and entitled the same. "Saving Milly" is about Milly Kondracke's struggle with Parkinson disease.
