Need Horror?
A shout-out to all horror fans to sign the Horror Channel petitions located here. They assure us Dark Shadows fans they are committed to airing the original Dark Shadows.
Jason Shaw (Joe-2004 Pilot)has inked a one year "talent holding deal" with Warner Bros. TV-John Wells Productions. In otherwords, we should seem him in something within the next year.
Todd McIntosh, make up artist for the 2004 Dark Shadows Pilot (and formerly of Buffy the Vampire Slayer) gave an interview with pictures no less to Fangoria. Click me baby!
Hallmark Channel has rescheduled it's broadcast of Frankenstein to Tuesday, October 26 and Wednesday, October 27, 2004. Alec Newman will be playing Victor Frankenstein.
John Wells Co-Produced Shows Nominated for Emmy Awards
Emmy Nominations. West Wing has been nominated for 12 awards and ER for four. West Wing is up for the best drama award.
Over the course of it's 10 years, ER has now surpassed MASH as the most nominated show in TV history with 112 nominations. Cheers still has the big title with 117.
Finally, a few things to report... First, some David Selby news. Shadow of Fear is not playing anywhere within a 40 mile radius of Los Angeles where we get almost all movies in "limited" release. Personally, a small indie movie would do much better in the spring and/or fall where it won't get overshadowed;) by the summer blockbusters.
On August 10th, 2004 at 1:00 p.m., a staged reading will take place of David Selby's play, Final Assualt at the Barter Theatre in Abingdon, Virginia for The Appliachian Festival of Plays. Information on tickets can be found at the click.
Matt Czuchry has been hired by WB's "Gilmore Girls" in a recurring role. He'll play Alexis Bledel's new love interest. Whoever she is....
Garth Ancier, Chair$%* of WB, has discussed at a fall preview press conference reported by Sci-Fi Wire here and here why WB did not pick up the 2004 Dark Shadows pilot and why Angel was cancelled in February. He contridicts Jordan Levin or himself in previous comments in several places in both articles.
Dark Shadows: Ancier states on the one hand that the 2004 pilot was "wonderfully" produced by John Wells and well written (Mark Verheiden, you go). Then he says it was "unsalvageable" on the other, due to director PJ Hogan. However, had Wells pressed the WB to take the project for the fall, they would have taken it. Ancier then concludes that Wells felt it "unsalvageable" too. Further, this also contradicts statements previously made by Shadowgram that the show was being shopped.
Sci-Fi Wire: Oops... The original director was Rob Bowman who bowed out to shoot Elektra, not Goldman. Hee hee. ROFLOL!!!!
Angel: Ancier states that WB wants some TV movies of Angel and they have made an offer to Joss Wheedon. Then he proceeds to put the blame on 20th Century Fox for Angel's pre-May demise because they pressed for an early decision for fall renewal. Had both parties waited then maybe it might have made it. This contradicts the February statements of Jordan Levine who blamed the TV's aging retiring dramas like Friends and Fraiser, the need to establish new ones that could repeat plus a need for more reality programming.
The WB gets the victoriawinters.net "Whatever, I Don't Know", award to the double tongued WB for it's latest media spin.
No News of Late-DVD 13 is set to Release on July 27 and DVD 14 is set to Release on September 28, 2004.
In a strange and unprecedented manner, it is really quite on the Collinwood news front. Here at victoriawinters.net, it is really eerie. Quite frankly, we are scared out of our wits by the quite.
